Automation Solutions Engineer:

Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, or maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems or processes to meet requirements. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports. Confer with engineers or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information. Develop, coordinate, or monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, or operation of product designs. Investigate equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and recommend remedial actions. Develop or test models of alternate designs or processing methods to assess feasibility, sustainability, operating condition effects, potential new applications, or necessity of modification. Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design, performance specifications, or environmental regulations. Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions. Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements. Analyze and optimize production processes to ensure safety while maximizing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) in cost effective means while driving to achieve world-class quality levels. Continuous improvement projects (CIP) to maximize yield, capacity, and capability.  Collect and define requirements for various production departments which utilize automation. Monitor and reduce process variation using techniques such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA). Monitor and audit manufacturing processes to ensure product specifications and standards are achieved. Participate in the development and maintenance of FMEAs and Control Plans. Analyze, develop, process, and implement Engineering Change Orders. Create and maintain Manufacturing Instructions, routings, and associated processes. Utilize MEP models, Revit/AutoCAD. Requires Masters in Mechanical Engineering, or related. Requires any knowledge of, or university course-work involving: (1) Reading construction documents, submittals, and shop drawings; (2) Lean Manufacturing methods and Statistics; (3) CNC and advanced Equipment deployment, Documentation and Installation; (4) Microsoft Office Suite; (5) CAD software packages (Revit, AutoCAD or Catia); and (6) Modular construction projects.
